Landowners in Anoka County Minnesota may be eligible for a Low Interest Loan for Repair or Replacement of an existing Septic System. Financial Assistance is available through a partnership between Anoka County Community Development and the Minnesota Dept. of Agriculture. This loan program is funded by MN state and federal dollars for homeowners with a Failing Onsite Septic System or Well. The purpose of the Agricultural Best Management Practices (AgBMP) Loan program is to protect and improve water quality in Anoka County and other participating counties across the state of Minnesota. Terms of Low Interest Septic System Loans
Low Interest Loans through the Agricultural Best Management Practices (AgBMP) Loan program must be used for eligible activities. Loan Repayment is handled through a Special Assessment on Property Taxes. Projects can only be completed by a Qualified Septic System Professional.
- Limit of $100,000 for any one eligible project
- Loan Repayment through a speical assessment on property taxes
- Maximum Length of Loan is up to 10 years
- Interest Rate of 3% plus fees
